PHP config

Hey there.. i am using v2rc2 using PHP to impliment it.. and I cant seem to figure out much as far as configuring or controling it. I can select skins.. but I cant control the toolbars content, or change the path to the .css file or anything..

Would I be able to get some info on how to set this up in a more detailed manner with php? Also i dont know how the file browser works.. how i can set that up to go to a directory of my choice... etc...
