Not loading

We have a version of fckeditor that comes installed with our student portal. (version 2.6.4.1)

After some recent upgrades to the portal system as a whole, the editor will not load, it simply sits with the loading gif just spinning.

Is there some setting that we need to address to remedy this?

FCKditor 2.x was retired a while ago and we no longer support it. CKEditor 3.x, its much superior successor, has been around for quite long and we recommend everyone to upgrade. All active development (and bug fixing etc.) takes place in the CKEditor line and the FCKeditor code base is no longer updated.

If your editor comes integrated with some CMS/ portal solution, you should probably ask its developers to upgrade the package. You can also try to get some support from other users of this system as I believe you are not the only one with this problem if the portal is still using such an old FCKeditor version. And, by the way, the last stable version was 2.6.6 and we discourage using older ones due to some security issues.
