The front page of the fckeditor site says it is compatable with Netscape 7+. I'm using 7.02 but the wysiwyg features are not displaying. I've tried it on another computer, with the same results.
It does however work with 8.01
Am I overlooking something?

RE: Netscape 7 not working
Don't know 'bout 7.02, as I've only got 7.2 still installed, so... but for what it's worth "it works for me". I DO emminate this crazy computer aura tho... stuff works just by proximity. Scary, I know. Maybe I can rub some mojo on this post and electronically pass it along.
On 7.2 it take s about 10 seconds to fully load up the first time, so maybe it was loading and didn't get a chance to display? Dunno. This version is working for me tho:
Netscape 7.2
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 Netscape/7.2 (ax)
More info will help. What's yer 'about ns' say? Any JS errors or such? Does just a standard textarea appear for you, or is the underline present in the box (_fckeditor_)?
Thanks!
RE: Netscape 7 not working
I let it "sit" for a while and it never came up. It just gives me the textarea with the "This is some <strong> sample text</strong>. You are using <a href="http://www.fckeditor.net/">FCKeditor</a>." markup. This is happening with the demo page on the fckeditor.net site. I don't get any JS errors. It looks just like an Opera screen does, so maybe its a detection error?

RE: Netscape 7 not working
Looks as if rich text editing wasn't available till NS 7.1, IE5, and Mozilla 1.3. So you'll need a newer browser. Sorry.
Firefox is nice... Har de har har.
