Layout Templated Preview

Howdy!

Is there a way to wrap the results of the preview with the standard site layout? Right now it's just a white page. I would like to provide my users with the ability to preview their changes in the site's layout context without the ability to edit the standard layout code (thus no full-page editing).

I hope that makes sense.
