The charset on the page where FCKEditor is used is UTF-8. Japanese messages composed both with and without the editor can be entered, previewed and later viewed on the page just fine.
But with two-byte character languages, like Japanese and Chinese, the editor gets messed up if FCKEditor needs to edit a previously created message. Editing without the FCKEditor works fine.
Looking at the underlying source, it appears that when the editor opens up a previously saved message to edit, all the two-byte characters have been turned into HTML character entities. And when saved again the message is no longer legible.
Has anybody had experience with issues like this? Any suggestions for what might be modified? A configuration setting or something hopefully?
Thanks!
