Insert Flash embed code only?

If I'm not mistaken the use of embed instead of object can be due to 2 things: having only one code that works in any browser and validates it's quite hard (and that doesn't requires creating the flash files in a specific way). And trying to read the properties of the object tag in IE gives a lot more than the ones present at the start.

If you manage to create a way to insert flash that works reliabily in IE and Firefox and that also validates the generated HTML output you could attach it to the patches section and I think that Frederico will add that for the next version.

As I said you need now to work with a special .swf file, and I think that this method of inserting a movie inside another can bring problems with regards to scaling or things like that. Can't remember the details but I think that sometime we had some problem with a movie because it was inserted into another.

And it still does remain the problem that IE uses to make a big mess when working with Object tags as DOM nodes.
