Like I announced in the "ImageManager for FCK" I've added new features to the ImageManager. Replacing and watermarking!
They are not yet released, but that shouldn't take long. I just need the time and hope to solve an odd behavior in the watermarking feature: when changing watermarks and changing back to ImageManager.png, the png will suddenly have a white background. Another thing, but this is a bug that really needs to be solved, is that sometimes the image that's being edited gets removed! Don't know when this happens, so if someone tries the demo and finds out, please tell me!
The demo is still on http://www.saulmade.nl/FCKeditor/FCKPlugins.php and with the new configuration settings I built in, the ImageManager there is set to open the edit window directly, bypassing the manager. Click on the imageManager icon in the toolbar or doubleclick the image in the editor to open the editowindow.
I wan't to change the imageManager's toolbar icon too. Maybe a pencil is be nice for the ImageManager set to 'directedit'.
Further new configuration options I built in and have set for my demo are: You won't be able to save the edited image because the editor is in demo mode; uploaded files will be resized to max 333x333 px.

* right click the image, choose 'image property' -> image doesn't appear in the preview
I did found a few other bugs, I'd be happy to report them to you, is there a place you prefer people to post or would you rather receive those by email?

Oh no worries Saul, I know the image properties are not the Image Manager, but for the sake of the demonstration... well it is confusing to users
Anyway, onto the list of bugs/usability issues - using FF1504/windows xp sp2. I'm just getting warmed up
- Click the flower -> click the imagemanager icon -> click 'watermark' -> press the 'ok' green tick -> the watermark displays at this ugly black spot. See image:

- If you crop an image, then resize it, the resize handle remember the 'old' image size, and become really confusing.
- There is no javacript validation on the input text fields, so you can type whatever you want and press the green tick. See:

- If you go straight to 'rotate' and press the green tick, the whole interface hangs and has to be closed: see

- The positioning and 'color' buttons are very hard to click - nd could benefit a lot being made larger or transformed in listboxes
- press 'measure', then 'marker', the measure button doesn't unselect, and the marker button is half-selected. See:
- 'Crop' has input text box at the top to reposition the crop box but changing the values in there doesn't repostion the crop box , it draws a second, hard to see one. The handles of the old crop box are still displayed, and if you try to move those, the new crop box is affected. See:

- Your doubleclick handler on images thinks flash files are images too. Solution for me was to just not register the handler
- After resizing an image up, a 'ghost' resize box appears. See:

- The rotate interface doens't lock the 'angle' field, even when rotating at 90deg. It's confusing, see

- The jury is still out as to what 'marker' does... You can click on the button and the icons switches indicating some z-position modification, but I couldnt see what it actually did visually.
In any case, thank you for such a nice plugin. It's simply fantastic!

Wow!! That's a long list. Didn't expect that!
Anyway I've fixed and it will be included in the updated package.
I start off by excusing me for that I will not be able to deal with much of these issues because of the lack of time and financial freedom. I have been able to solve the first issue but the rest will be for someone else or for when I can find the time. With other issues I personally don't agree. Read on:
- What really bothered me was the first bug. That really makes a big black blob! Where did that came from? When I tested before, the watermarking worked perfectly. I have been trying to fix it for several hours now, and finally found it! I'll ask Gerhard/Zwergnas to update the downloadable file as soon as possible.
- Cropping actually only makes the removed area blank, but doesn't make the image smaller. This is a wrong behavior indeed.
- Validation would be nice. Before that, it's up to the user to be nice to the Manager I guess...
- I could not replicate that bug?
- I deliberately designed the controls this way. I think this is a good balance betweeen usability and visibility.
- The marker button never unselects the active button. I can't tell you why, because I don't know what its purpose is :-/ The semiselection is done by the browser.
- True, the handles aren't moving.
- That's strange, the ImageManager checks the tagName of the clicked element and should only trigger when it's an IMG.
- Yes indeed, added to the todo list.
- How in the world did you found that out
- Locking or resetting maybe is an idea, but that might reduce usability...
- The ImageManager "A plugin with just a button to click on" :p
Great that you stiil like the things I've done. Don't forget that the original manager is from Wei Zhuo (http://sourceforge.net/projects/imgmngedt/ seems dead) and that Zwergnas brought it to the FCKeditor!

Neat, I'm glad I could be of use.
Regarding the rotating bug you couldn't replicate, I've tried again with the same outcome.
Click the imagemanager icon in the toolbar, go straight to 'rotate', don't type or click anything just press the 'green tick'. It says 'rotating' and just hangs there.
As for the bug with the Flash content getting treated as an image, I think it's because the fckeditor does not actually display the flash animation inside the editor, just an image that says 'flash', as a placeholder. Hence the bug

firefox 107 specific bugs:
- crop and resize do not work, period - the cropping box never materializes
- measure and marker make the image flicker non-stop when use
- After rotating, the user is left with the editor missing all of its menus

As I need to add this plugin to my own FCKeditor integration to another CMS, I corrected some of these bugs. Modified files and corrected bugs here :

The file to download has only modified files, so you have to install Saulmade version first, then overwrite ImageManager folder.
Changes :
- Bug fix: plugin does not work with "php short_open_tag=off"
- Bug fix: dirname($img) is not valid with "php register_globals = Off"
- Bug fix: window too small with FF 1.5.08, especially with non english strings.
- Added imageManager.png demo image so that we can play with watermarking feature right from installation.
- Added missing french translations.
- Bug fix: "tools not displayed if action = flip" ("tools_flip block" does not exist).
- Bug fix: editor hangs displaying ’rotating’ if no rotate setting entered. Added default ’0’ angle value.
- Bug fix: Editor window too small with FF 1.5.0.8 especially with non english strings.

ImageManager update 18-4-2007
Update 18-4-2007: Thierry Bothorel packed his extensions + fixes and included changes by Alan Pinstein and me, including constrain to configuarable size on upload via the manager. You can read all about it at http://www.thierryb.net/site/Update-to- ... nager.html.
To this I've added the ability to specify multiple width and height sets that can be selected when uploading. Everything is packed and can be downloaded at http://www.saulmade.nl/FCKeditor/FCKPlugins.php.
