I've given up on FCK due to its poor documentation on installation.
I instead have gone to SnippetMaster which includes automated installer and ON TOP OF THAT the developer will perform a complimentary installation if it doesn't work. Additionally, it has all I need for my end user.
Anyways, thanks but no thanks Frederico. I should have stopped trying after reading this post.

FCKeditor is just an HTML editor, and that SnipperMaster that you point out is a CMS (and one of its parts is another HTML editor, TInyMCE), so they are different elements. It's clear that you will have trouble installing FCKeditor if you want to have the same functionality that a full CMS.
