That this editor is free and open sourced... And really wanted to use it.
But for .NET it just isn't practical. When I developed my page it was well over 500KB with this editor included on the page.
Which really is a bloated page. Unfortunately, because of the bloatedness you get with .NET, you can't afford a .JS file being downloaded that is over 250KB along with all the other little files the editor needs.
So, for me it wasn't practical to use. Instead I shelled out the money and bought CuteSoft Editor (and no I don't work for them). Becuase the same page was 252K page with cute soft.
But I have used a third party client script controls (both free and paid) and whenever programming from public consumption I find alot of times these controls (like fckeditor) are wicked bloated in many features that I honestly do not need.
I just wanted to give some feedback on this. While it is great to continually add features. Doing so in a bloated way, is at the expense of internal network traffic and if for the public cost in download time, which will not make a good impression for my visitor.
Keep up the wonderful work and look forward to seeing this in the future being able to compete on performance level as cutesoft.
Sincerely,
Angela law
