I Need Javascript to save locally before post

I need Javascript to Save the editor contents locally before posting. Posting can be hazardous with a bad dialup connection or loaded server ... I would be best if the editor contents could be saved to the local disk before attempting to post and probably only needs a few good lines of javascript. Anybody out there know how???
