How to speed up FCKeditor's File Browser?

I have a page which is running FKCeditor 2.6.3 ). Until I get the time to transfer over to CKEditor, I am stuck with a problem. Occasionally, when the user pressing the 'image' button to insert an image, it takes a rather long time for the 'popup' window to load, the 'browser server' button to load. It also takes a long time for the file browser to load the list of files (maybe 10 files).

any ideas on how to speed it up? Are there some config tweaks that can be done?

Hi David,
you probably already know that FCKeditor is long outdated and no longer supported, so it definitely is a good idea to upgrade. However, if you are not ready for an upgrade to CKEditor just yet, you should at least use the latest FCKeditor version (2.6.6) since the older ones had some security issues.

I have no idea -- like I said in my post *FCKeditor is no longer supported*. I just warned you about the security issues that may arise from using a version of an outdated product that is already 4 years old.
