Hi folks!
I used FCKeditor in a project (don´t remember version)...and although we had a stable version...we had ALOT of problems...bugs poping out here and there...so we abbonded the FCKeditor...i posted a post here about what i think the FCKeditor projects big problem where all about.
I was wondering how is this project going. I am not a FCKeditor user, but i have some interest in this project. A while ago...my personal opinion was that FCK was good, but it would have been great if all new stuff could come to a halt and fixing bugs was numero uno on the TODO list.
So, how´s it going? Looking at the stats it seems like alot of bugs is floating around (i know, they are not all bugs, user errors also), and i see FCK is getting new features with Cold Fusion etc.
Before i end this post i would like to make a "shoutout" to the dev team, you are doing a hell of a job...and for free. We all remember that!!!

RE: How is it going?
Personally I feel much better with this new release of FCKeditor. I found the version of several months ago to be unstable/buggy and that kept me from using the editor. Now with version 2.2 I don't see this behavior anymore. The editor now 'feels' good. And after reading some post of FredericoCK himself (especially http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3318457) I now really believe in this project and am putting some effort of myself into it (skin design: http://www.saulmade.nl/FCKeditor/) and am building a new fullsize plugin at the moment...
So I really suggest you give FCKeditor a new try and hope you'll like the latest release much better.
The only thing I miss is a real community behind it. E.g. when I have small development question I feel confined to browsing the wiki and forums. A chatbox would really fill this gap. (The room #fckeditor @ irc.freenode.net seems dead)
success!
RE: How is it going?
So better documentation can improve that part, but I think that very few people likes to write docs.
There are other problems (mostly in Firefox) due to the browser, and so workarounds for each one of them are needed, but sometimes that ain't easy.
I really think that this editor it's very good and I see that each new version it's better than the previous one.
RE: How is it going?
Overall, I like it, and it's the editor I'm sticking with. I'd just like to be able to take advantage of the new 2.2 features.
