It's been awhile since I've been here a bit longer since I've used FCKEditor but I have it back up and running right now and it is doing most of what I want it to do.
However, when I retrieve data that is stored in a db and place it in the text area where FCKEditor is using: oFCKeditor.Value = value ; the text appears properly formatted in the editor window however I am unable to format it again.
ie/ bold text will stay bold and even if I delete the bold text then start typing where the text was the new text becomes bold. Toggling the bold button does nothing as well.
This is happening in FF right now, I haven't even tried IE.
Any ideas anyone?

RE: Formatting PreExisting Text Retrieved fro
Because FF spits out <b> and <i> instead of <strong> and <em> for coding purposes and to correct this I used preg_replace to convert them to the appropriate XHTML entities what was happening was the editor wasn't recognizing the new codes so I had to "reverse convert" the string of text to be editable for in FF. And the good part of all of it is it still works in IE.
