i mean the document files that are produced with the FCKeditor. OpenOffice.org uses an XML-Format, Word its own DOC-Format, PDF is another standard format etc.
Background of my question is interoperability with publication systems. Or even the integration of FCKeditor in an XML-based authoring / content management system in our university.
FCKeditor is not a client text editor like Open Office or Microsoft Work... it brings to the Web some of their features for easy content editing.
It not produces by itself any physical file, but HTML data. It works on HTML forms like normal form fields (INPUT, SELECT, TEXTAREA) in fact it works exactly like a TEXTAREA. So its up to you to effectively save the editors data in any format that is better to you (on databases, xml files, html files, etc).
