Hello, I have an project here on sourceforge, and I think I'd like to encorporate yours into mine, as the frontend is completely DHTML.
To do so will require some additional features - which I am more than happy to add myself. The code you've written is very clean and easy to work with.
Before I do, though, I thought I'd ask if the author(s?) have any preference as to how I do this, as some of the things I make you'll be able to reuse, and I might just go ahead and implement according to your specifications to start with.
So here's what I'll need (I've only glanced at the source; it's possible I'll find you already have some of this):
-A WYSIWYG to non-html source converter to send the data to and from another form (the only difference will be markups; I'll be using regular expressions)
-A javascript accessible "dirty" flag to specify when the data has changed and should be sent to the server
-Markers which add some form of modifier to a line (like Scintilla: http://scintilla.sourceforge.net/Scinti ... ml#Markers)
So what do you think? Keep in mind that this is not a support request. I am fully capable of implementing these things myself. I'd hate to make something that wasn't compatible with your future versions if I didn't have to, though.

RE: Feedback on other features.
Hello,
I'm FredCK, the main developer of FCKeditor.
Your ideas are great! Go ahead with it, I think it is inline with the future updates to be made to the editor.
Just let us know as soon as you have more news.
