I just spent around 2 weeks trying to integrate FCKEditor with Anthem .net, and I have to say that after a long and tiring battle that I had to finally give up altogether, what was happening was that somehow it was breaking my XHR callbacks. I tried everything, I disabled a lot of the code, especially the redirection of the submit handler, which I thought was the culprit but no that wasn't it. Its just that there is some strange *BLACK MAGIC* going on under fckeditor and there are way too many files and TOO LITTLE DOCUMENTATION to figure it out. I mean how do you debug an event based system where you don't know which event is causing what? Well I guess you would disable all of the events, which is what I did! TO NO AVAIL! I am sorry to say that after a very small amount of time I got tinyMCE to do exactly what I wanted, I'm talking about basic basic thing, getting it on the page, and making an Anthem Method callback. It took me 15 minutes! I went on the forums and asked 3 questions, no one ever responded to my answers! Well there you go, this is why I am switching to tinyMCE, and by the way I like how FckEditor is light weight better than tinyMCE so this is basically a decision that is based solely on getting this integrated within a certain time frame. Good luck your going to need to fix some serious problems with the new version.
