FCKeditor Dropdowns not visible (flickering) in IE only

Hi,

I am using fckeditor on a screen in our web application. It works fine in our desktop computers on IE6,8 and 9.
But on a laptop computer using ie6 and another using ie9. I am unable to see the font, color dropdowns with no javascript error being displayed. The dropdown window appears to flicker as if it has opened and has been closed.

Please do help me solve this issue.

If I try to see the issue through Developer Tools offered by IE9, i see the follwoing javascript error :

Access is denied(fckeditorcode_ie.js line 86 char 1703)

If this issue is seen only on laptop computers I dont know what to make of it.
Please let me know if there is any workaround.

( Upgrade to CKEditor will be done in the future)

I have checked the ckeditor demo on the same laptop computers where the fckeditor issue was seen and the drop downs are visible for ckeditor.
Issue seen only for fckeditor
