FCKEditor + Facelets. Is it possible?

Hi,

Is it possible to use FCKeditor (Java version) with JSF + Facelets? It would be great for me. Icefaces has a very nice component based on it but I'm using RichFaces and it doesn't.

I wouldn't conside the code in fck-faces as production-stable. It's incomplete. If you'd like to contribute source on top of FCKeditor.Java, that would be great.
I will into JSF not before august.

Hi,

The problem with fck-faces is that it works only with myfaces. It wont work with sun-jsf implementation.

And I'm working with seam + Richfaces + facelets usuing sun-jsf implementation.

To render the component its using a myfaces renderer.

I think I'll have a lokk at it.

I'd really like to provide that feature but Iam really confused about the zillion differnt faces implementations. I have absolutely no idea against what lib I have to compile our lib and with what it is going to work. I don't want to do the same repetitive work for every faces implementation over and over again. Is there any one size fits all implementation which will help you and others?

Hello,

are there any news concerning FCK Editor and Facelets?

I tried to integrate FCK Faces (which support Facelets) but it does not work with PPR (Ajax), so I hope that the "REAL" FCK Editor made some progress

Hi,

there is absolutely no progress. We are working on version 2.5. I am a complete novice in JSF and I don't like the JSF, it's too tedious, too verbose, and too much POST. I'd have to collect some experience with JSF to provide Faces support, so don't expect a release anytime soon. If you'd like to make a contribution, contact me.
