FCKConfig.BodyClass and editor BODY Style

I have a site builder with which i edit a lot of different sites. THere are often background colors or images set for the body tag on these sites. I've tired changing the FCKConfig.BodyClass setting to a style setting with no background image but it seems to be ignoring it and pulling the body tag setting in anyway. any thoughts?

I'm using 2.4.2
