Editor font defaults to 'Times Roman'

I have a customer comments board which allows comments and suggestions to be inserted on-line. These are often added from MSWord in different fonts and styles. However since makings some changes to the site it seems that any text inserted into the editor from Word defaults to 'Times Roman' and the HTML string throws an error because of the apostrophe in the string. The only change I have made is to set 'FCKConfig.AutoDetectPasteFromWord = false ;'. Is this what is causing the problem?
