Editor duplicates content

Occasionally when I use the editor to edit a page it will randomly duplicate sections of the page. It seems to happen the most when I'm using tables and/or <hr> tags. I can go in and delete the duplicate content but the next time I change anything else it comes right back. It only happens sometimes so its kind of hard to pin down. I've searched the forums and can't really find any similar problems. I'm using RC2 w/ php 4.3.4. Does anyody have any clue as to why this is happening?

I am having the same problem. It's very hard to pin down because it is so sporadic. Anyone have answers?

we had this problem when we moved existing users from an older version to the current one.

we found that if you highleight all content in teh editor and then click the remove format icon, the problem is resolved.

The problem is usually related to malformed HTML, incorrectly nested tags and the like, so when the editor tries to serialize it and give a correct output IE doesn't help at all and makes things worse than before.
