Creating Custom Tag

Hi all,

Question for you all....
I need to add a button in the FCKeditor toolbar and on its click I need to generate a custom tag eg <tag type: desc:/> in the source code of the FCKEditor and in the front end user will see a image.
For further processing I need this tag.

Is this is possible in the FCKEditor? Please confrim.
