I have downloaded the latest version of fckeditor and I have configured it to work with our latest project. The only thing I am missing is the image browsing and upload functionality.
Are there lines I am supposed to configure in order to make this work? If so, which files should I be looking in? I am configured with PHP and apache 1.3 on a linux server. I have been going through these forums all day and any solution presented just tells me to change the code on specified lines, however all that seems to do is hang up the process.
If I had all the time in the world I would work this out for myself, but the world of business says get it done now. If anyone can help me please respond.
Thanks so much.

RE: Configure Image Browsing - Version: 2.0 RC1
and create the UserFiles directory in the web root

I cannot create a folder as I seem to always get an error saying I do not have permissions to create this folder. Also the image upload seems to take place as the functionality doesn't stop the image upload, however the image doesn't actually go anywhere. I am also not seeing any directory structure in the image browse window.
RE: Configure Image Browsing - Version: 2.0 RC1
I cannot see an error in my server logs when try to do this.
I also cannot find in any documentation on setting this to point to another directory.
RE: Configure Image Browsing - Version: 2.0 R
I manage to upload files on a easyPHP configured server. When I install everything on a linux machine, I get a access denied message.
Folder user access and group are set to the apache user (www) and folder is in 777 mod.
knowing how to change the target directory would also interest me.
RE: Configure Image Browsing - Version: 2.0 RC1
I'm interested in installing it in an osCommerce environment, and we're looking at using the html area image browser routine instead of fckeditors, based on lack of configuration documentation.

It's hard to feel good about complaining about anything related to such a wonder (and free) project like this, but...
I totally agree. Without the ability to change the URL to move images out of the FCKeditor/ structure, I've got some major problems.
I'm working on a photo blog, and my users would really hate to have their photos have a URL of:
http://www.mysite.com/admin/fckeditor/b ... /image.jpg
rather than
http://www.mysite.com/iimages/image.jpg
This is a HUGE problem, and a seemingly easy to solve one.
