Can't edit text pasted from word in FF

after text is pasted from word (using the paste from word toolbar button) and inserted into the editor it cannot be edited or deleted in firefox.

is this normal behavior, or can other people edit text pasted from ms word? is there something i'm doing wrong in my config?

I've heard of it happening... for what it's worth, I've found that sometimes I have to click outside the editor a couple of times to get it to let me input more text/edit what's been input-ed. Never have I been 100% locked out of editing tho.. I think it may relate to the capturing of the keyboard and mouse, and is related to a problem bngobngo has been vexed with.
