Can the directory path for the file mgr....

Would seem to me that it would be a lot more sence and WAY easier if the path for the "$Config['UserFilesPath'] in:
editor/filemanager/browser/default/connectors/php/config.php was included in the main fckconfig.js file instead of each time
having to go into this file to set it.

This is also true for the allowed/denied extentions for upload

Well, the problem with your idea is that the fckconfig.js is a javascript file, and config.php a php one, so you can't load directly the contents of the javascript file from the php script. And passing sensitive configuration data with url params is a recipe for disaster as soon as any cracker thinks: what would happen if I change the ?userDir=/data/public to any other thing?

So if you have an idea about how to setup up the system so it's secure and it needs to be configured in only one place then tell it, but I don't see such a magic solution.
