I really need some help with this. It seems like such a useful idea that Im sure someone has already done it. I build websites and have tried several CMS systems and hated them all. What I want is to be able to build the complete website myself in my wysiwyg html editor (net objects fusion) and on each page instead of content and pictures have an include tag. So I do all the navigation etc in my html program and the user does all their own content.
The user will the go to a page that lists all the pages on their site, click on the page they want to edit. Up it comes in fck ready to edit, they make their changes and save and it gets sent to a file on the server that gets loaded by the <include> tags on the page.
Very simple.
I have seen this exact system available as a subscription setup on a couple of websites but I dont really want to pay yearly fees for it. Dont mind a one off cost though.

RE: Basic CMS using fck and <include> tags wa
Hi Chargin -
if you want to contact me directly I can probably help. I have a very nice, simple system using FCK, and I am familiar with NOF.
I *think* you can email me from here?

I have built a CMS based on the FCKeditor. Check http://www.saulmade.nl or contact me for any questions. The site is Dutch, but show some screenshots of the CMS which can give you an idea. I can mail you an explanation in english. Just contact me through my website.
