Background latch to one color for multi highlights

Hi

In MS-Word you can make the background or highlighter latch by double click and
all subsequent selections will change the background until the icon is clicked again.
(this is also the case for all formatting functions)

Is this at all possible now (me just not knowing, did try) or as a feature for version 3 ?
.... will make highlighting much faster ?
