Okay.... I file it as bug now.
I can easily reproduce in IE on demosite of 2.1.1 version.
If you paste my code exemple at end of message in source in FCKeditor (i tested on XP and IE 6.0), then turn editor into normal view (not source view), and then click outside the editor area in the page, and then now try to click twice on the div to edit the text... one are not able to edit the text... to be able to place cursor inside the DIV one have to, first click somewhere else in editor, outside the DIV.
Annoying bug and I hope there will come a patch soon to fix this.
Try to paste code below in the demo 2.1.1 in source view:
<div style="PADDING-RIGHT: 15px; PADDING-LEFT: 15px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 15px; WIDTH: 50%; COLOR: white; PADDING-TOP: 15px; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(136,136,136)">Text here. Let see how it perform</div>
Can someone fix this?

RE: BUG! Editing problem in DIV in IE in 2.1.
Why should you have click anywhere else in the FCKeditor than on the DIV, if it is the text in the DIV you are to alter? Not very intuitive.
You should definitely be able to edit the DIV by double click on it, without having first to click outside the div.
Give me a reason why it shold not work like that.
And what consern me the most, are all the support phones I will get from my end-users, complaining that when they try to edit text within a DIV, it is not working in IE.
So since it is not working this way... I have filed a bug on it, and consider it a bug.
RE: BUG! Editing problem in DIV in IE in 2.1.
when i tried at fck i couldn't edit the div after clicking outside the editor.

RE: BUG! Editing problem in DIV in IE in 2.1.1
so click once to give focus back to the editor, then once to select the div, then once to edit text in the div.
RE: BUG! Editing problem in DIV in IE in 2.1.1
You have to double-click the div to edit the text, but if you first click outside the editor, you just cannot go right away to editing the text inside the div. You can double-click all you want, it just doesn't work.
If you first click inside the editor but outside the div, the you can edit the text by double-clicking the div afterwards.
