Apply a default template

Hi all,

I have a CMS based site where the content pages can be multiple templates. Hence, I need multiple templates within FCK to show the user what their content looks like while they're editing it.

The templates are a useful way to get around this (despite the extra wrapper divs required). What I would like to know is: How can I apply a default template when the editor is loaded so that the user does not have to remember to apply a template?
