Ajax Request

I am using the FCKeditor with an AJAX submission. ANd when I do, the form submits the loaded value rather than the altered value. In other words, when the form loads, the value is "abcd". Then I type into the text editor "efghi" and submit the form. Instead of submitting "efghi" it submits "abcd". Any ideas?
