I can't get the image browser and uploader to work, or more accurately I can see the dialog, but if I click 'browse server' I see the new image browser window, but nothing appears to work (although in IE I can see a resource type of 'image' in the left drop-down, but not in NN7.1).
Are we still waiting on CF-compatible image/file browsers and uploaders? Doesn't seem as if the files are there yet if I poke around in the file set.
Great work getting it to this point, though! Everything else looks real smooth so far. A bummer file/image browsing and uploading doesn't work as thats sort of a major feature

RE: 2b2 and ColdFusion
1) the product is in beta
2) if you knew a bit about coding you would realize the cf connector hasn't even been written yet.
RE: 2b2 and ColdFusion
I already said the files don't appear to exist.
I was only asking a question in case I missed something. If you can't be constructive don't post.
RE: 2b2 and ColdFusion
Gentlemen,
To put this thread on a constructive path, I would love to be able to contribute to the project with some source code of my own. This is a great editor, but I can't include it in my CMS until it's out of beta -- and the more we all help to get it there, the quicker it will benefit all of us.
I've tried to join the project a couple of times, but no luck. Any suggestions?

In the meantime, if you want to throw insults at me, why don't you do it in person, not hidden behind your monitor. I'll be glad to meet you at the next Allaire/Macromedia conference.
Cheers,

RE: 2b2 and ColdFusion
I spoke to Frederico awhile back and asked if he needed help on the ColdFusion side. He had already been contacted by Hendrik Kramer, who I have also spoken to and who seems very knowledgeable. The CF side of the project is in good hands.
FYI I and another developer wrote up revised image and file uploaders/browsers. I added error trapping and mime type checking and the other guy () wrote in a nice, simple method of scrolling the image list. You might want to try it with 1.6, which is imho still the best editor out there.
You can get the file set from within my ContentMonger Lite cms, which is a free download in the MM Exchange. Look in the root folder for upload.cfm, uploadfile.cfm, browse.cfm and browsefile.cfm.
Stephan,
You continue to demean yourself. It is worth noting my original post said the image editor was a 'major feature' and you misquoted that as 'major failure'.

Thanks.
RE: 2b2 and ColdFusion
It looks like they're doing formal beta releases and not dribbling out file subsets. I'll start another thread asking for a guesstimate on v2b3.
I'm dying to get it too -- especially since I have dumped IE. GDIPlus was the last straw. If I had more than just the most rudimentary js abilities I'd cobble something together for temp use.
We just gotta be patient
