No it's not a 'major failure' as : 1) the product is in beta 2) if you knew a bit about coding you would realize the cf connector hasn't even been written yet.
LOL Matt Robertson - the Matt robertson from MSB designs? Funny that I know you from the Allaire forums. Do your customers know you use that language in discussion forums? Nice!
In the meantime, if you want to throw insults at me, why don't you do it in person, not hidden behind your monitor. I'll be glad to meet you at the next Allaire/Macromedia conference.
I spoke to Frederico awhile back and asked if he needed help on the ColdFusion side. He had already been contacted by Hendrik Kramer, who I have also spoken to and who seems very knowledgeable. The CF side of the project is in good hands.
FYI I and another developer wrote up revised image and file uploaders/browsers. I added error trapping and mime type checking and the other guy () wrote in a nice, simple method of scrolling the image list. You might want to try it with 1.6, which is imho still the best editor out there.
You can get the file set from within my ContentMonger Lite cms, which is a free download in the MM Exchange. Look in the root folder for upload.cfm, uploadfile.cfm, browse.cfm and browsefile.cfm.
Stephan, You continue to demean yourself. It is worth noting my original post said the image editor was a 'major feature' and you misquoted that as 'major failure'. .

RE: 2b2 and ColdFusion
I already said the files don't appear to exist.
I was only asking a question in case I missed something. If you can't be constructive don't post.
