Hello
I have a been working on something of a nightmare use case: copying text from Lotus Notes into CKEditor. The text includes bolded paragraphs made to look like headings and then bulleted unordered lists.
Whilst I've been struggling trying to configure CKEditor, I have got it to a point where it should be allowing this Lotus content to be pasted with the following preserved:
- bolding
- italicising
- at least each line (whether a list item or normal paragraph) should become a paragraph
In IE10, this works as explained above. In Chrome and Firefox, everything is dumped into one big paragraph and bold and italics are stripped.
Can this difference between browser handling of pasted text be disabled or it something beyond the ability/scope for CKEditor to handle?
Paul
Each browser attempts to
Each browser attempts to reformat code in its own way. Copied text from word processors includes additional hidden stuff. There's even varied behavior between Word 2003 and Word 2007 in each browser. Also ACF might be getting involved as well. Add this code to your config.js file and see if it helps:
