I've been using CKeditor 3 for a long time and made extensive use of the PHP connector features and wrapper. As far as I can see everything to do with connectors (for PHP, ASP, CF etc) has disappeared from version 4. What's more, I can't find any mention of it in the docs; the meagre docs on upgrading from 3 to 4 (which say 'it should just work') are fairly useless since large chunks of functionality have vanished with no hint of what to do instead. I've searched in the forums but I can't find any mention of connectors in relation to 4. What's happened to them? I can't be the only one using connectors!

Hi Synchro,
Hi Synchro,
we are sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Some CKEditor 3.x functionality has not been ported to version 4 yet (and some will never be). CKEditor 3.x was truly feature-rich, some even said it was too much :-) CKEditor 4 is a huge leap forward in terms of ease to customize the tool to your needs but at the same time some redundant features were stripped. The PHP connector was one of them as it does not make much sense now given that every PHP developer can easily insert the <script> tag with CKEditor JavaScript into his/her page.
You can try using the v3 connector with CKEditor v4 if you wish, this should work all right.
