Really struggling to get CKE to use a style sheet

Hi all,

I am really having a problem with CKE and attempting to style the text in the editor. Ideally I want it to match (as closely as possible) the finaly output, but even some simple changes seem to elude me.

I've read so much about this and I now seem to be going round in circles. 

At the basic level I believe CKE will use the contents.css file in the CKE folder as the default.  However if I make any changes to it nothing takes affect.  Even as simple as changing the font size of 'p'.

I've attempted to specify (will full path) my own css in the config.js and also in the HTML Javascript when I initiate CKE .

Nothing seems to work.

Can anyone help -- give me some pointers on what else to try!

I'm currently on v4.3.3
