Hi CKEditor team.
I've did a simple search but cant search on all 238 pages :S about the same problem sorry... I even cant find where is located the search box to the forum.. ?!?
Well, i was doing my first experience with this editor but every time that i do a download of the file (3.66 or 4.0.1) and try to install that file in Joomla Extension Manager it give me this error: JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
If i go try to do a instalation by TMP directory says:
- JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
- Path does not have a valid package.
But i can do installation of many others files like plugins, modules, components, etc.. without any problem!
Some solution to try to solve? Or it's better to give up from this editor? :-/
Best regards

Which file are you trying to
Which file are you trying to download and install?
The Open Source version of the CKEditor for Joomla! extension can be found here: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/ckeditor/frs/?action=index
Choose the package that is appropriate for your Joomla! version, download it and use the Extension Manager to install. This should work without any issues.
If you want to purchase the integrated CKEditor + CKFinder solution with access to the support channel, the download link is available here: http://cksource.com/ckeditor-for-joomla

Thanks Anna! I'll try that :-
Thanks Anna! I'll try that :-)
From the Joomla Extensions Directory ( http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/edition/editors/12821?qh=YToxOntpOjA7czo4OiJja2VkaXRvciI7fQ%3D%3D )
Many people try Demo at first time to see (that open a new blank window ) then.. after that we can see the Download link ...
And in this download link page: ( http://ckeditor.com/download )
Is true that also we cannot see (in download) if this Editor is for Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla, PHPNuke .. or what else... :-)
So will be nice for users, if in the same download page, we could get in display different icons (or text) explaining what file is for CMS.. or what else more..
Best regards! *
I can see what you mean, but
I can see what you mean, but I'm afraid there isn't much that we can do... The Download button on the extension's page is correct (http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/ckeditor/frs/?action=index) and the demo just shows the latest standalone editor version as it would be difficult to maintain separate demos for all integrations which would be up to date etc.
