This is a commercial, third
Sorry to hear about your issues. This is a commercial, third-party plugin. You should contact its authors to troubleshoot the issue and/or get a refund. You can also leave a message on plugin's page or rate the plugin itself, by the way.

I need to be able to upload
I need to be able to upload images from the desk top for this project. Seems all the image tools are made by this same company. I there any other recommendations that might work?
I have contacted doksoft three times and they do not respond.
If you only need to upload
If you only need to upload images, then you can use the Quick Upload tab in the images dialog and you can make it work with zero cost.
If you then want an enhanced set of features, the SimpleUploads plugin certainly isn't authored by doksoft and you get almost everything that you'll ever need in a single plugin. Test it here: http://www.martinezdelizarrondo.com/ckplugins/simpleuploads.demo4/
