Hello,
for my application it is essential, that the text entered with CKEditor looks exactly the same in all browers - this is what I understand by WYSIWYG.
But unfortunately the text gets rendered differently in different Browsers.
Especially the line break is different - in one Browser a sentence fits into one line, and in another browser it needs two lines.
Is this normal behaviour or is there something missconfigured?
Is it possible to force WYSIWYG by automatically inserting a <br> at the end of every line?
Thanks in advance,
goo

It doesn't sound like you understand the web very well. About the only way to make sure that each 'sentence' fits one line on the web, across browsers, is to ensure the font family is a fixed width font; the length of characters in the sentence is always exactly the same; the paragraph containing the sentence is aligned with justified. Even then, a wide variety of factors can mess that up.
The web is dynamic. It is used on a wide variety of devices with varying dimensions. CKEditor is highly configurable. You can probably make it do what you want but it may not be your idea of a WYSYWIG out of the box. For example, you would have to craft your site's CSS very tightly in order ensure your text doesn't wrap to another line, then make sure CKEditor is configured to use your own CSS rules in order for users to see a very close preview of what will be displayed when they submit their finished content.
CKEdtior does have some options relating to break tags but they are intended for managing the case where the Shift + Enter keyboard shortcut is used to force a line-break instead of a new paragraph (a behaviour some users are familiar with when using common word processing programs), or what to do when users press the Enter key.
Best of luck.
