Is it possible to create a region of text that can't be deleted in ckeditor's WYSIWYG mode?
If you add "contentEditable=true" to a p tag, you can still delete the entire section defined by the p tag.

Check the placeholder plugin. It's the only official solution right now, but it's not perfect. We're working now on widgets implementation, which will be completely new thing and will be really usable.
