My first download of the standard ckeditor worked fantastic.
Then I wanted to add a plugin so I went back to the builder and added it. Now I don't have a working installation any more. It seems you need just the right combo of addons to have it work.
Even the FULL package without any additional packages was non working. after downloading about 30 different combinations, I finally gave up and went back to the standard package which is again working fantastic.
Why is it so hard to get a working combination?
First of all, all official
First of all, all official distributions (Basic, Standard, Full) work without issues, are tested and can be demoed on our Demo site. If Full did not work for you, this could be a caching issue -- remember to clear the browser cache each time you change the package, some JS or CSS code etc.
As for why some plugins might not work: the Add-ons Repository contains third-party plugins provided by their authors. Some of them might not be actively maintained, some of them might provide conflicting functionality or simply not work in a given environment. Truth is, the best idea is to carefully review the plugins before installing them -- read the release notes/ documentation, check the plugin comments to see if there are any issues and if there are, how the developer addresses them. Do not install too much third-party stuff in one batch as you will have trouble debugging any errors you might encounter. Last but not least, leave feedback in plugin comments to let the developers and other users know.

It isn't the cache. I even
It isn't the cache. I even tried opening my page on a separate system that had never been there or ever seen ckeditor.
Even the standard packages don't work if you download them from the builder ie. say you want to customize but don't add anything. I have tried this with the full and I have tried this with the standard and none of them work.
The only plugin that I need is the image loader which doesn't come with any of the standard 3 packages but is in the builder.
I have been working on this all day and still no luck. It is probably time to go back to tinyMCE. works right out of the box, plugins are simple to install, get it going in 5 minutes. But not as pretty as ckeditor.
