Hi,
To reproduce is very simple.
From Ckeditor 4 readonly.htm sample, clear all text them make it readonly.
We will get Js Error " Unable to get value of the property 'ownerDocument': object is null or undefined"
The error occurs using Browser IE9.
Can anyone help

Tried it here with latest version of CKEditor and IE9.0.8112. Nothing happens. Might be your setup.

sebstefanov, I tried the link you provided and it is generating the js error. If you look in the IE Dev Tools Console you will notice that the error is being logged.
You need to clear the content before making the CKEditor readonly.
