Hi, sorry if this is answered somewhere else.. new to this forum and only here for a customer of ours (we are the host).
They are running a old version of ShopAdmin (can't see the version) and had the FCKEditor (2.6.4 i believe) which, as you probably know, has some bad vulnerabilities in the code.
Can you tell me if it's easy to replace the FCKeditor with your latest CKeditor and would shopadmin still work with this?
I would say that it isn't
I would say that it isn't easy to jump from FCKeditor to the latest CKEditor, they are quite different beasts.
First, the upgrade guides are usually FCKeditor -> CKEditor 3, and then CKEditor 3 -> CKEditor 4 (and being careful about the changes between the 4.x versions)
But most importantly, if you talk about vulnerabilities, then you're talking about the file browser, but that part was removed altogether in CKEditor 3, so you need to use a new file browser for that part.
You might find more info about upgrading in some forum dedicated to Shopadmin, here are very few topics dedicated to the integration with all the different CMS and environments.
