I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question, but I can't figure it out.
How do I change the borcer colour of the textarea? I am using the out of the box basic editor.
Also, have any of you noticed the editor takes a few seconds to load? My server and laptop are both very powerful (24 cores on the server, 8 cores on the laptop) yet it is still slow to load.

1) Do you mean border? You can change various editor borders and stuff in the mainui.css file of your skin folder.
2) Does your server have gzip compression? If it does, CKEditor will be compressed to around 120k.

Isn't config.uiColor option enough? Check out also the uicolor plugin.
