I'd like to use CKEditor as the base for a web-based WYSIWYG editor for legislation documents marked up in XML (in the Akoma Ntoso format).
I know of the XML plugin for CKEditor which will treat the underlying document as XML. However I haven't found anything that will allow me to restrict what's added to the document based on a DTD (or XSD schema).
I am planning on changing CKEditor's internal DTD to match our own DTD, and provide toolbar buttons for the different permissible elements.
Has anyone tried something like this? Does anyone have any thoughts or tips or adjusting the internal DTD? Does anyone know of an open source editor that might be better suited?
Thanks,
Greg
