Adding event support to grab bars when inline resizing images with grab bars

I'm looking for any help anyone can offer in pointing me to the file(s) (and line numbers if you're able) where Grab bars are handled when doing inline resizing of images.  I'm looking specifically for those that deal with images, but if those for tables are done in the same place that's fine too. 

I've been browsing through the source from SVN but haven't had any luck yet.  "resize" looks to be only relating to the editor as a whole, "image" looks to only deal with the dialog controls.... and using a broad search for terms is showing way to many matches to go through one by one.

My purpose is in addressing an old feature request that was placed by a programmer working on my behalf at the time with regard to adding event support for grab bar changes to image dimensions. We, like many others these days are storing images in DB's and requesting them dynamically to allow for on the fly resizing and optimizing.  We've been able to add the right events to size changes in the dialogs but short of turning off all inline resizing there's no way to control this in the inline editor.

Garry.yao referenced (here) a ticket dealing with this (http://dev.ckeditor.com/ticket/594) but it doesn't look like anything has been done in the 5 years since.

I'm looking to pick this up and see if there's anything I can do but I'm going to need a little help getting past the curve and locating the spot to start working with.
