I tried looking for something similar but couldn't find anything. The slash problems (at least the last slash) might be the result of magic quotes (smart quotes). It could also be a database configuration problem, like needing encoding set to utf-8. It would be useful to know which version of CKEditor your are using (standalone, Joomla, Drupal).

Attached are the 2 php files used that result in the slashes being attached to the hyperlinks when emailed. If the url is placed without using the Links function from menu (as plain text), then it shows up as a working hyperlink in the recipients email.
If you need other files from the server, please advise.
