My organization use CKFinder and we are really happy about this tool. However, we need a search functionality which will allow us to search for images among our huge database of media files.
Can you advice me where should we look for a solution? Are there any existing, not official improvements of CKeditor that add search functionality? Or rather we should think about customizing the tool by ourself? if so, can you refer me to any sources that can help us to achieve that?

Any progress on adding search
Any progress on adding search functionality to CKFinder? They really seem to be dropping the ball with this very basic functionality. Browsing through thousands of images isn't practical.
