I was using CKEditor 3.1 and had the following problem
1) Display list using datatables and allow user to edit an item
2) user selects item ajax loads data into jquery.ui dialog. It also loads the dialog with jquery.ui tabs and the second ab has two textareas that have been changed into ckeditor areas.
3) On submit of the form in the dialog the code uses ajaxSubmit fro jquery.form.
The problem was all the data was submitted to the routine EXCEPT for the two text areas.
The solution seemed to be updating to ckeditor 3.3.1 since the ajaxsubmit issue was addressed in Changeset 5084.
downloaded ckeditor 3.3.1. Unpacked it and FTP'd to the server in a new directory. Changed the
<script type="text/javascript" src="../ckeditor331/ckeditor.js"></script>
to the new location
changed the
<script type="text/javascript" src="../ckeditor331/adapters/jquery.js"></script>
to the new location.
[Those are the ONLY two changes made in the code]
Now I am getting an "h is null" error in the error console pointing to ckeditor.js line 13 and it is STILL NOT submitting the textareas back when the form is submitted.

Re: jquery.ui - jquery.forms ckeditor 3.1 and 3.3.1
I don't have a solution, but I just wanted to say that I too am getting the same error described with CKEditor 3.3.1. The only difference is I'm not using the jQuery adapter though that doesn't seem to make a difference.
Tried clearing my cache every way concievable as mentioned here:

..but to no avail.
Anyone come up with a solution or a workaround perhaps?
