getData doesn't enforce removeFormatAttributes?

So.. I paste into a CKEditor a random webpage worth of content..

I use the getData() function which correctly gets me the content, but shouldn't that strip out the "bad stuff" as defined by the config?

It doesn't..

Is there something I should call prior to calling getdata?
