Dear,
The cost mentioned for ckfinder is too much. The owner of editor should know why people will give 400 USD for editor while open source whole software is free.
It seems that they want to loose business and market for sure.

Re: ckfinder is costly
For you because you have no discernible skill as a web developer, can't be bothered to read the documentation, can't be bothered to search for one of the many CKFinder alternatives or even write you own browser based CKEditor filebrowser plugin implementation instead.
Just so you know, it would cost you _way_ more than $59 for a professional web developer to create a filebrowser plugin for you.
The cost of a single installation of CKFinder is $59

I personally think that's too cheap. People like yourself should be paying much more for CKFinder.
One year's Enterprise support is US $600 http://ckeditor.com/support and that is targeted at businesses.
If you need a CKEditor implementation for your web site, that is called an over head and if you cannot afford such a reasonable expense, then use one of the many other less functional WYSIWYG editors instead or use CKEditor under one of the open source licenses.
Most probably, you should just get out of the web industry you are trying to infect by leeching from FOSS because you don't understand the licensing terms.
CKEditor costs you nothing as long as you follow the license : http://ckeditor.com/license
Is it really that difficult for you understand?
Spoken truely like a person who does not understand business and knows nothing about CKSource.
So by your reckoning, Frederico should just give away CKEditor to you and other greedy businessmen who don't deserve it, charge nothing for CKFinder, give away free support and go bankrupt so that the product and the company fails.
Get a grip. Nobody owes you ANYTHING and CKEditor must be funded somehow because writing software doesn't happen by "Magic." Software developers are highly skilled individuals and must be paid for their time accordingly.
Thanks,
