We need to do it in a well structured way, to be sure we'll have success with it. I've posted some info about it (outdated) in the past. My hope is being able to make it a reality.

Hi fred, sounds good. Maybe the wiki needs to be open for registered users too for translations?
An addition to Distribution >PDF. Please get bookmarks in there! (Bookmarks in a PDF is the index that appears in a left pane if avaialble.) I find it a lot easier to get to the right place when a PDF has bookmarks! Also with all distributions, I think you must have a clear version number or date on it as they will be spread with P2P apps and such. Perhaps also a note to inform the reader that the latest docs are online + link.

As described the document pointed in my previous post, we should form "official" translation groups, formed by at least two people, the Documentation Translation Manager and a Documentation Translation Reviewer. The we'll have writers, that would join the groups under acceptation by the Documentation Translation Manager. Of course everybody inside a group has write permissions granted to the docs site.

PDFs are still a dreamed thing, but your suggestions are good. Thanks for them.
I have read the docs and understand, but I suggested to open the translations to registered users to get translations going. It's a shame that editing had to be made available only to approved users due to vandalism.
